Melissa Herburg is a Meanjin/Brisbane-based Academic, Theatremaker, and Stage Manager.
Specialising in immersive theatre and the audience experience, she has worked as a Theatremaker and Producer across a number of experiential art forms, including theatre, gaming, and experience design.
Melissa holds a Doctorate of Philosophy from the Queensland University of Technology, Her thesis explored the role of the social immersive theatre audience in participatory narrative.
She currently teaches at the Australian Performing Arts Conservatory and the Queensland University of Technology. She is also the Manager of Escape Hunt Brisbane.
