Melissa Herburg is a Meanjin/Brisbane based Academic, Theatremaker, and Stage Manager who specialises in immersive theatre and the participatory audience. Her performances and research explore interactive narratives and the role of the audience in participatory performance.

She is also a passionate tertiary educator in Drama, Communications, and Creative Practice. Working across multiple institutions, she aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice for her students, supporting them to realise their creative, professional, and educational goals.
